STAG’S HEAD
SOLD Stag’s Head sculpture made entirely from piano parts.
The head and neck of the Stag are created from solid antique mahogany from a 150 year old square piano by John Broadwood and Sons, that had sadly reached the end of its playable life.
The antlers are formed from piano keys mounted on action brackets, the ears are created from the piano’s pedals, while the eyes of the stag are formed from piano hammers, and the nose is made from the wheel of the piano leg.
This sculpture has appeared in The Guardian.
